Jack Franklin Talley, age 85, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 in an Athens healthcare facility. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was educated in Cleveland City and Bradley County Schools. He retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Talley and Hazel Gold Talley, sister, Martha Jean Talley, brothers, Joe Talley and Hugh Talley. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Talley of Cleveland; son, Bill Talley of Odessa, Texas; step son and wife, Johnny and Virginia McKinley of Tellico; grandchildren: Bryant Talley, Suzanna Chorney and Jim Talley all of Odessa, Texas, Gracielia Talley of Roswell, New Mexico; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann McNabb of Cleveland; four nieces and nephews and several cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Morelock, Jim Swafford, Jim Gold, Tom Newman, Tommy Newman and James Toomey. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Griffith, David Johnson, Bedford Blackburn, Arthur McReynolds, Jim Eakin and Bill Grisley. His family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
