Dorothea Richie

Dorothea "Dottie" Richie, age 63, a resident of Ooltewah passed away Sunday, February 04, 2007 at her home. She was a member of Honestville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Vernon L. Richie; mother, Pauline "Polly" Booth; the father of her heart, Theadore Booth and brother, David Taylor. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Phyllis McKee and David McKee of Ooltewah and Lynda Murray and John Murray of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren: B.J. Swafford of Ooltewah, Shannon Phelps of Tunnell Hill, GA, Melissa McKee and Alexis McKee both of Ooltewah; two great grandchildren; father, Grover Taylor of Crandall, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law: Nancy Curbow and Freeman Curbow of Ocoee and Patty Reinert and Chris Reinert of Charlotte, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Center Point Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Center Point Baptist Cemetery with Jason Swafford, Michael Curbow, Mike Curbow, Steve West, David McKee and Chris Samples serving as pallbearers. A white dove ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
