Wilma E Ownby

Wilma E. Ownby, age 76, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 06, 2007 at her son?s residence. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Mrs. Ownby was the daughter of the late Luther Masengil and Agnes Edith Scott Masengil and was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Masengil and son-in-law, James Tatum. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Roy Ownby of Cleveland; son, Travis Ownby and wife, Marlene of Cleveland; daughter, Angela Tatum of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Tyson Gates, Curtis Ownby and Andrew Ownby; one brother, Leon Masengil of Cleveland; several nieces also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Wagner and Pastor Marvin Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Charles Ownby, Bill Ownby, Mitchell Ownby, Jerry Stephenson and Vernon Renner serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
