Jack L Spencer

Jack L. Spencer, age 83, a resident of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 in a local hospital. He was employed with Magic Chef for 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army Airforce serving in World War II in Europe and North Africa. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mr. Spencer was the son of the late Richard W. Spencer and Bessie R. Hyde Spencer and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ozelle Spencer. He is survived by his four brothers: Claude Spencer of Oxford, Ohio, Don Spencer of Dublin, Virginia, Fred Spencer and Ivan Spencer both of Chattanooga; one niece and several nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Isaac Hicks officiating. Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
