Fred William Bayne, age 63, a resident of Cleveland, and local businessman passed away at his home Friday, February 9, 2007. He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer following almost one year of treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was the son of the late Seretha Kelley Bayne and Allard F. Bayne Sr. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Lee Bayne of Cleveland in 1984. He was of the Church of God faith. He was owner and operator of Home Health Care of East Tennessee, of Middle Tennessee, of West Tennessee and also owner and operator of Continue Care of Mississippi. He was awarded the Home Health Administrator of the year award for Tennessee for 1997 and 2003. Mr. Bayne owned and operated Bayne?s Business Machines and the Nations Mortage Lenders. Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi Bayne Ruth, her husband, R. Scott Ruth, and grandson, Richard Colmar (Cole) Ruth of Signal Mountain, TN. Also long time companion, Wanda Frazier and dedicated caregiver, Annette Green both of Cleveland; aunt, Beulah Kelley of McDonald, TN; brothers: Allard F. Bayne, Jr. of McDonald, TN, Ted L. Bayne and wife Linda of Ringgold, GA; sisters: Patricia Williams and her husband, Reverend Luke Williams of Whiteside, TN, Peggy Smith and Sharron Baldwin both of Tellico Plains, TN; also many nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the North Cleveland Church of God with Chaplain Barry Lee, Chaplain Mike Justice and Reverend Max Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Allard F. Bayne III, Randall Williams, Jeffery Williams, Glen Williams, Greg Bayne, Byron Smith, David Smith and Mark Sweitzer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Bayne, Jeremy Bayne, Dwight Graham, Randy Flowers, Roger Baldwin, Scott Griffith and Peter Anderson. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday and also 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
