Billy Goodwin

Billy D. "Wild Bill" Goodwin, age 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in a Decatur healthcare facility. He was of the Church of God faith. Mr. Goodwin was the son of the late Joseph William and Mary Goodwin Brewer and was also preceded in death by a special cousin, Paul Stokes. He is survived by cousins: Elizabeth A. Woods of Cleveland, Arlie Stokes of Cleveland, Melvin Stokes of Gary, Indiana, George Stokes of Cleveland, Carl Stokes of Hammond, Indiana and Nellie Faye McElroy of Gary, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Dupree and Pastor Josh Sarmiento officiating. Interment will follow in Grasshopper Church of God Cemetery in Birchwood with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Jake Stokes, Blake Stokes and Jeff Crittenden will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
