Clent J. Beck, age 71, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, went to be with his Master Monday, February 19, 2007 at Skyridge Medical Center. He worked for almost fifty years as a diesel mechanic; 35 years for Chancey Truck Rentals and almost 15 years in his own garage. He was the son of the late Wes and Leona Beck and was preceded in death by sisters: Geneva Ware, Margaret McBath and Hazel McBath; brothers: Frankie Beck and Clarence Beck. He was also preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bill and Blanche Rymer; sister-in-law, Inez Scoggins and nephew, Dennis Scoggins. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Luria Rymer Beck; one daughter and son-in-law: Kathy and Jerry Reagan; one granddaughter, Denise and (Josh) Montgomery all of Cleveland; two great-grandsons, James and Jackie Montgomery both of Cleveland; one sister, Inez Banks; four brothers: Claude and (Pat) Beck, Charles and (Evelyn) Beck, Clyde and (Maime) Beck and Roy and (Linda) Beck all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law: Billie Baker Stafford, Nellie and (Melvin) Randolph and Carolyn and (Terry) Hunt; brother-in-law, Bobby Rymer; several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends also survive. A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Higgins and Reverend Dave Boles officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jamie Beck, Allen Beck, Ray Beck, Chuck Rymer, Terry Randolph, Nick Payne and Randy Payne serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
