William Hayden Haney, 93, a life long resident of Bradley County and Oak Ridge, Tennessee, went to be with his Master Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at his home. He was a member of the North Cleveland Baptist Church for 60 years. He worked for Gulf Oil Corporation, Hobby Mart and Camera Center and Coppinger Color Lab. He was an avid gardener, photographer and reader. He was a member of the Cleveland Camera Club and Bradley County Historical Society. He was the son of the late Ernest and Hester Haney. He was also preceded in death by sisters: Maggie Lee Jones and Dorothy Haney. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mae Morrow Haney; daughter and son-in-law: Wilma and Jim Cross and granddaughter, Carrie Elizabeth Cross; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Elmer and Mattie Cartwright, John and Mary Morrow, Haskel and Betty Joyce Morrow, Charles and Jean McDonald, Joyce Dantzler, Betty Morrow, Clifton Morrow, Clyde Colloms of Cleveland and Hazel Hughes of Nashville. A multitude of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. DeWayne Morrow, Terry Morrow, David Morrow, Tyler Morrow, Jim Goodner, Mike Goodner, Brandon McDonald and Keith Colloms will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Colloms. Bobby Delay, DeWayne Hooper, Charlie Wattenbarger, Billy O. Sparkman, Alvin Firestone, Jack Whiteside, Jim Byerley and Scott McDonald. His family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the funeral home.
