Julia Ann Black

December 26, 1932 — March 12, 2007

Julia Ann Phillips Black, 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at the family residence. She was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church. She was with American Uniform for 20 years and was also employed with Peyton?s Southeastern for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Lutie Hawkins Phillips and a sister, Wanda Young. Survivors include her daughters: Dianne Black Hannah and husband John Hannah of Cleveland and Janice Black of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Jennifer Hannah and Stefanie Hannah both of Cleveland; three siblings: Carolyn McCracken and husband, Neal McCracken of Cleveland, Charles Phillips and wife Reathel Phillips of Crandall, Georgia and Linda Morgan of Knoxville ; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Boanerges Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Greg Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, David Hannah, Scott Brandt and Adam Dixon will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
