Hubert Earl Henley

Hubert Earl "Buck" Henley, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away March 14, 2007 in a local hospital. He was born March 3, 1918 in Tracy City, TN, son of the late James Campbell Henley and Blanche Payne Henley. During World War II, he was employed by the Navy Department at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from 1943 to 1945. He was retired after 15 years service with Ryder Truck Rentals. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Oxford, AL, and a former member of Westwood Baptist Church in Cleveland. Mr. Henley was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha C. Henley, a son, James Campbell Henley, and two brothers: Edwin Henley and Robert W. Henley. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen Jordan Henley of Cleveland; step-daughter, Marie W. Young of Oxford, AL; one granddaughter, Patricia Sanderson and husband Shannon, and great-grandson, Austin Sanderson, all of Oxford, AL; two brothers: Kenneth Henley of Blackshear, GA, and James M. Henley of Signal Mountain; two sisters: Eleanor H. Hubbard and Dorothy H. Nation, both of Signal Mountain; and several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
