Craditt F Higgins

Craditt F. Higgins, 85, formerly of Cohutta, Georgia and Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in a healthcare facility in Calhoun, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a master mason and a fifty year member of the Cohutta Lodge # 64 at Cohutta, Georgia. He was retired from Southern Railway. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Higgins was the son of the late Fred A. Higgins and Ethel Higgins and was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Lois Marie Higgins; a daughter, Beverly Higgins and a son Terry Higgins. Survivors include his children: Betty Higgins of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Kenneth Higgins of Cleveland, TN, Brenda Kittle of Rocky Face, Georgia and Tim Higgins of Cleveland, TN; one sister, Mary Ellen Berry; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. A Masonic service will be conducted following the graveside service. His family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, 3000 Commerce Drive, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311.
