Jane A. Bishop, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 03, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Bishop was a graduate of Forth Smith, Arkansas High School. She was president of The Saugerties New York Art Council during the 1980?s. She helped save and rebuild the historical landmark of The Saugerties Lighthouse on the Hudson River in New York. She was an accomplished artist. She lived at the North Cleveland Towers in Cleveland from 1999-2005. She moved into her daughter?s home from October 2005- April 3, 2007. She was a member of the Church Alive Ministries in Cleveland. Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Florence E. Patton of Tulsa, Oklahoma and was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice A. Bishop; five siblings. She is survived by her son Maurice Edward Bishop and daughter-in-law Lorraine of Lake Katrine, New York; daughter Jayne Ann Nicholson and husband Tom of Cleveland, TN; ten grandchildren: granddaughters Pamela Haley of Cairo, New York, Lari Ann Lang and Shala Jane Lang of Los Angeles, California, Molly Bryna Prater and husband Paul of Cleveland, TN, Bonnie Brown of Saugerties, New York, Wendy Penley of New Port Richie, Florida; grandsons: Tommy W. Nicholson and Trevor A. Nicholson of Cleveland, TN, Matthew Brown of New York City, New York; six great-grandchildren: Jessica Ann Bishop, Jennifer Leigh Sottile, Steven Wayne Haley, Alan Dustin Haley, Christina Elizabeth Haley, Kathrerine Elizabeth Haley; one brother, Thomas Warren Patton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters: Mary Louise Garrison of Eucha, Oklahoma and Virginia Faye Woods of Bixby, Oklahoma; 24 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Alan Larsen, Leon Prater, Tommy Nicholson, Trevor Nicholson, Tom Nicholson, Harris Looney, Trey McCroskey and Paul Prater will serve as pallbearers.
