Thomas Paul McDaniel

Thomas Paul McDaniel went home to be with the Lord April 11, 2007. He was born May 10, 1928. He was 78 years old. He was a life long resident of Calhoun, TN until his retirement when he moved to Georgetown, TN to be close to his children. He worked for Burlington Woolen Mills until it closed operations. He was then employed with Olin Chemicals in Charleston until his retirement in 1993. He was an avid lover of Gospel Music. He sang with the Gardner Brothers Quartet for 25 years. He later sang with the Old Timer?s Quartet for 6 years. After his retirement he loved to garden. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Irene Fulbright McDaniel, brother, Hubert Lee McDaniel, nephew, Kevin Douglas Mason. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Winona Carver McDaniel, daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Lou Winters of Georgetown; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Melinda McDaniel of Georgetown; three grandchildren: Casey Winters of Ponce Inlet, Florida, Lauren and Matthew Paul McDaniel of Georgetown; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and James Mason, sister, Barbara McDaniel; sister-in-law Betty Jean McDaniel, sister-in-law/ brother-in-law Margaret and Frank Roberts and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend R.T. Roberts and Reverend Jamie Work officiating. A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Gary Sears officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Pallbearers will be Larry McDaniel, Sam Stafford, Dan Haydon, Austin Duncan, Don Fugate, Jeff Grubb, Walter Barham and Jimmy Simmons. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at the funeral home prior to the service.
