Sherry Gail Forgey

Sherry Gail Forgey, age 49, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. She loved her Lord, her family and her friends and was loved by all who met her. She was a joy to all. Sherry enjoyed collecting photographs, keeping journals and most of all being with her family and friends. She was active in church and was a member of Spring Creek Church of God in East Ridge, where she sang in the choir. Sherry loved people and she will be missed by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ambers and Ida Melinda Forgey and John H. and Ella May Douglas. She is survived by her parents, Reverend James R. Forgey and Gladys Douglas Forgey and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of wonderful friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Robinson, Reverend LeRoy Forgey and Reverend Charles Forgey officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with Gary Forgey, Derrick Forgey, Troy Forgey, Greg Forgey, Steve Forgey and Ray Forgey serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
