William Garner

April 25, 1932 — April 19, 2007

William "Bill" C. Garner, 74, a residence of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Office Machines Sales and Service and Custom Products Incorporated in Cleveland. He was a graduate of the class of 1952 of Bradley Central High School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Kizzie Garner, special friends, Fred Bayne and Deno McKenzie. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda L. Garner of Cleveland; two children: Deborah Hicks and William H. Garner and wife, Paula Garner all of Cleveland; mother-in-law, Madge Howard; three grandchildren: Aaron Hicks and wife, Sarah Hicks, Amanda Hicks and Andrew Hicks all of Cleveland; step-grandchildren: Michael and Lauren Scoggins and Ashley Scoggins; great-grandchildren: Landon Hicks, Lane Hicks, Ethan Scoggins and Alanna Scoggins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Griffith and Reverend Phil Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Jack Duggan, Bill McMahan, Joe Collins, Lynn Davis, Mark Burger and Tony Hernandez will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and also Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
