James Earnest Haun

December 8, 1959 — April 23, 2007

Reverend James "Jimmy" Earnest Haun, Sr., age 47, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 at the family residence. He was employed by the State of Tennessee as an eligibility counselor. Mr. Haun was the Pastor of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. He was a dedicated husband, father and pastor. Mr. Haun enjoyed working with young people and served several years as Director of Bible Quizzing with East Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene and also served four years on the District Youth Council. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Jo Mason Haun. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy McCormack Haun of Cleveland; children: James Haun, Jr., Jace Haun and Joshua Haun all of Cleveland; father, J.C. Haun and wife, Audrey; brother, John Haun and wife, Amy; daughters by heart: Jacqueline Carden, Grace Wampler and Katie Kirby; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with East Tennessee District Superintendent Rev. Ron McCormack and Rev. Richard Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Reynolds, Rev. Clarence Hogg, Rev. Greg Gressel, Rev. Don Hawkins, Rev. Michael Mayfield, Rev. Greg McClain, Rev. B.J. Miller and Rev. David O?Neal serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be pastors of the East Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene. His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
