Mary M Poteet

Mary M. Poteet, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, May 5, 2007 in a local hospital. She was a member of Cohulla Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Laura Massingill and was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, C.L. Poteet of Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law: James "Pete" and Lenora Poteet and Phillip Arlen and Judy Poteet all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Bryan Poteet of Atlanta, GA, Tony Poteet of Memphis, Bridgette Poteet of Charleston, WV, Mark Blair and Linda Blair of Georgia, Cynthia Williams and Brandi Freeman of Cleveland, Keith Beck stationed in Iraq; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Wilson and Reverend Herbert Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Springs Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
