Veheda Colley Ledford

Veheda Colley Ledford a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at the family residence. She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. She was retired from South Central Bell and also served as a school teacher assistant for ten years at Bradley County Schools. Mrs. Ledford was the daughter of the late Sumpter Colley and Sarah Lawson Colley. She is survived by her husband, Alphus Ledford of Cleveland; daughter Teresa Stephenson and husband, Jerry Stephenson of Cleveland; one grandchild, Brian Woody; two sisters: Mary Frances York and Mildred Drake both of Cleveland; one brother, Hershel Colley of Georgetown; niece, Sandra Benton and husband David Benton; nephew, Roger York. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Guinn Green, Pastor Mitch Maloney and Minister Bernice Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Henley Ledford, Dewey Ledford, Steven Ledford, Roger York, Jamie Morgan and David Benton. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
