Nannie Lee Mantooth Hale

Nannie Lee Mantooth Hale, 91, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Conway Manor in Conway, SC. She was born in Calhoun, TN on September 13, 1915. She was a member of Tasso United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin "Doc" Hale; her parents, Hugh and Mattie Walker Mantooth and sisters; Beulah Bacon, Evelyn Thomas and Ruby Stevison. She is survived by her son, Virgil "Bud" Hale and wife, Anne, of Aynor, SC; granddaughter, Whitney Hale Carter and husband, Stan, of Lexington SC; grandsons, David Hale and wife, Robin of Ruckersville, VA and William Hale of Pace, FL; seven great grandchildren; Morgan and Haley Driggins of SC; Zachary Hale of VA; Rebecca, Drayton, Lyndee and Talmadge Hale of FL; sister, Maude Harris and husband, Guy of Calhoun and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 28, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
