Zora Marie Guthrie

Zora Marie Jenkins Guthrie, 92, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away Monday, June 04, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Quilt Club and the Spice of Life Seniors Group at the church. She was a member of Bridgemakers. Mrs. Guthrie was the daughter of the late Anderson Jenkins and Lucy Huff Jenkins and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward (Edd) Guthrie; two sons, Paul and Ben; also brothers, Edd, Bill, Lester and Herbert Jenkins and sisters, Clara Swafford and Julia Manley. Survivors include her sons: Roy and Mary Guthrie of Cleveland, James and Thelma Guthrie of Dalton, Georgia, daughter-in-law, Jean Guthrie of Rogersville, TN, and daughters, Evelyn and Charles Moore and Betty and Verlin Sneed both of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren are Tom and Connie Guthrie of Amissville, VA, Ken and Becky Guthrie and Scott and Jackie McDonald all of Cleveland, TN, Dean Guthrie of Rogersville, TN, Stephen and Fina Sneed of Aliso Viejo, CA, Brian and Melody Deverell of Cohutta, GA and Keith Beck of Iraq; great-grandchildren are Chuck Robinson of Rogersville, TN, Nate Guthrie of Amissville, VA, Emily Guthrie of Cleveland, TN, Samantha, Tabitha and Robert Bagley of Cohutta, GA and Kyle Beck of Hawkinsville,GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Haskins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her grandsons, great-grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
