It is with love and peace that we announce the passing of our beloved Caleb Jennings Johnson. Caleb had battled the dreadful disease of metachromatic leukodystropy for thirteen years, and on June 20, 2007, Caleb took his first steps in over ten years…straight into the arms of Jesus. Caleb attended Cleveland Middle School, and was a very active member of Westwood Baptist Church. He was a treasure to his family, a hero to his friends, and until we meet again we will all miss him greatly. Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Terry Johnson of Cleveland; brother, Levi Johnson of Cleveland; paternal grandparents: Jen and Elaine Johnson of Cleveland; maternal grandparents: Nate and Sherron Taylor of Cleveland; great-grandmother, Mabel Taylor of Boaz, Alabama; uncle, Todd Johnson of Cleveland; aunt, June Sullivan and husband, Donnie Sullivan of Cleveland; uncle, Steve Taylor and wife Cindy Taylor of Duluth, Georgia; uncle, Tim Taylor and wife Karen Taylor of Antioch, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Best and Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Chilcutt Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Friday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
