Lucia Bartolo

Lucia Bartolo, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 in a local hospital. She was born September 26, 1929 in Casapulla Caserta, Italy. She and her husband Francesco E. (Frank) Bartolo were married in Montreal, Canada in 1956. The family then moved to Plainfield, NJ in 1959 and on to Cleveland, TN in 1968. She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church where she was a member for 39 years. Mrs. Bartolo was the daughter of the late Peter Valle and Giovanna Audino Valle and was also preceded in death by her husband, Francesco E. (Frank) Bartolo and one sister. She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Anthony Bartolo and his wife Jane of Cleveland, TN, Martha Bartolo of Cleveland, TN, JoAnn Briscoe and her husband Greg of Memphis, TN and Lucy Gearinger and husband Scott of Lookout Mountain, GA; eight grandchildren: Elizabeth Bartolo-Jackson and husband, Jonathan of Cleveland, TN, Franesca, Gabriella, Isabella, Chloe, Hannah, Noah and Matteo; five step-grandchildren: Mary Jane, Emily, Sarah, Rachel and Colleen Skelly; two great-grandchild: Alexia Jackson and Gracelyn Jackson one brother, Steve Valle of Plainfield, New Jersey and two brothers in Italy; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Antonio Giraldo, Father Mike Nolan and Father Alex Waraksa officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the release of a flock of white doves concluding the service. Her family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Saturday at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Her family requests that memorials may be made to the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church Building Fund, 900 Clingan Ridge Drive, Cleveland, TN 37312.
