Clarsie Jones

Clarsie Jones, 94, a former long time resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 in healthcare facility in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Knoxville, TN on April 23, 1913. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland for years where she taught Sunday School and was later a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was the daughter the late Joe and Martha Stinnett Greene and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones; her daughter, Joyce Stonecipher; brothers, Homer H. Greene and Earl M. Greene, Sr.; and also one sister and seven other brothers. She is survived by her two daughters: Martha Clark of Cleveland and Patsy Harper and husband Bob Harper of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren: Wayne Stonecipher and wife, Melissa Stonecipher, Rita Chapman and husband, David Chapman and David Clark; five great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. A private graveside service will be conducted at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Dr. Reed Wright officiating.
