Johnnie Cook

June 30, 1930 — August 3, 2007

He was retired from Great Lakes Steel in Detroit, Michigan in 1986. He was a Mason and Shriner, and was affiliated with the Alhambra Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Kathleen Cook, brother, Robert Cook, and ex wife and best friend Anna Jean Cook. He is survived by daughters: Sharron Everhart of Cleveland, Sue Englund, Janice Beasley and Judy Parker of Soddy Daisy; sons: Michael Cook of Cleveland, and Jackie Pendergrass of Tiftonia; brothers: Ralph Cook, Glenn Cook, and Gary Cook of Cleveland, Charles Cook of Hixson, and Ray Cook of N Johnnie Eugene. Cook, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at Skyridge Hospital on Friday , August 3, 2007. ashville; sisters: Paulene Martin of Hixson, JoAnn Dale of Rossville, Ga., Barbara Brantley of Athens and Anna Sue Wicker of Niota. He has ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at ll:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Tom Jones, Tommy Jones, Dewey Wright, Ronnie Stone, Robert Durrant and Ted Englund serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m.Sunday, and from l to 8 p.m.Monday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Skyridge of Cleveland, 175 24th St. Cleveland, Tenn. 37312.
