Vickey Ellen Lewis Smith, 49, a resident of Benton, passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2007 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a seamstress with Lowe?s Upholstery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Beecher Belcher and Anna Faye Freeman Defriece. Survivors include her spouse: James Allen Smith of Benton; loving mother of Lisa F. Bates of Ocoee, Jeffery Dewayne Keener of Cleveland, Delbert Shawn Lewis of Benton, Ron Lewis, Jr. of Cleveland and Jeanine Marie Lewis of Ohio; nine grandchildren; siblings: Ruth Hinkle of Kentucky, Jeanetta Chavez of Florida, Shelia Holmes of Georgia, William Belcher of Georgia, H.D. Belcher of Arizona and Terry Belcher of Benton. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Glen Green officiating. Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with Eric Bates, Ron Lewis, Jr., Shawn Lewis, Jamie Lewis, David Goodner and Austin Walker serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
