Leland Brown

Leland Brown, 59, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 in a local hospital. He attended Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy. He was a supervisor with Faye Swafford Originals for several years. He graduated from Bradley Central High School class of 1967. Mr. Brown was the son of the late James R. Brown and Margaret Lemons Brown. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Stephenson Brown of Cleveland; children: Renee? Brown and Misty Brown both of Cleveland; one brother and spouse: Jerry and Debbie Brown of Dalton, Georgia; two sisters and spouses: Thelma and Jerry Poe of Greenville, Tennessee and Tina and Tommy Dodson of Cleveland; nieces and nephews: Chris Brown, Candace Brown, Crystal Brown Hudgins, Phillip Daniels, Aaron Daniels, Heather Kidd and Adam Dodson; several great nephews and nieces also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom and Pastor John Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jeffery Stephenson, Terry Flatt, Virgil Burris, Gary Goins, David Stephenson and Duke Snyder serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
