Rebekah Grace Runion Cooley, 3 year old daughter of Anthony and Kristi Runion Cooley and little sister of Sam Cooley of Cleveland earned her angel wings and is now running on the streets of gold in heaven! She was born on this earth March 5, 2004 and born into eternity on August 23, 2007 peacefully at home surrounded by her mommy and daddy and big brother, Sam. Rebekah (Bekah) fought a life long hard battle with mitochondrial disease. She no longer suffers from the disease that robs so many children of their childhood. Other than her parents and big brother, she is survived by her grandparents: Tommy and Mary Ann Runion, Joyce Meneley and Paul Cooley; two great-grandmothers: Willie Marie Blackwell and Blanche Brooks both of Cleveland; three aunts and spouses: Tonya and Buster Visage, Robin and Kelly Gibby and Rhonda Prince; four uncles and spouses: Marty and Shannon Runion, Randy and Melody Cooley, Jimmy and Robin Cooley and Jody and Jenny Cooley; twelve cousins who loved her very much also survive; special nurses: Kay Robinson, Elizabeth Perry, Jamie Lovingood, Trish Akin, Janet Moorehouse, Sandy Moore and Tonya Blair. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Lee Ingram, Mark Cameron and Gene Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Cemetery with Marty Runion, Kelly Gibby, Jody Cooley and Jimmy Cooley serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday and also from 2-4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
