Charles Houston Keith

February 3, 1930 — August 25, 2007

Charles Houston Keith, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday August 25, 2007 at the family residence. He attended the United Pentecostal Church. He never met a stanger and was a professional bowler. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing. He traveled the world as a trouble shooter for Ford Motor Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid race car driver for Carol Shelby. Mr. Keith was the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Cook Keith and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Keith; one sister, Elanor Dunn; one brother, Raymond E. Keith. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Delores J. "Punky" Keith of Cleveland; children and spouses: Tawana and Dale Weaver of Justin, TX, Angela Taylor of Cleveland, Misty and Lance Rawless of Gates, NC and Tisha Taylor of Cleveland; grandchildren: Heather Matteson, Meredith Malpas, Stephen Young, Malik Taylor, D?Andre Taylor, Heaven Rawless, Angel Rawless, Lance Rawless, Jr. and Lee Rawless; three great-grandchildren: Stephanie Matteson,Avery Matteson and Bryson Malpas. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend William Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be James Mosley, Jimmie Risenhoover, Lance Rawles, John Rowley, Joseph Jackson and Michael Moore. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
