Larry Joe Johnson, 54, a resident of Cleveland for the past four years, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 in a local hospital. He was a professional truck driver for J&S Cartage for the past four years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his father Lester Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karin Johnson of Cleveland; mother, Nola Johnson of Lake City, TN; five children: Robyn Johnson of Denver, CO, Justin McGonigal of Bella Vista, AK, Karren Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA, Stacie Johnson and Cory Johnson both of Cleveland; three grandchildren; three brothers: Terry Johnson of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Gary Johnson of Oak Ridge, TN and Jack Johnson of Lake City, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Ron Neugard officiating. A private interment will be conducted on Wednesday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
