Wilma Sue Powers

Wilma Powers, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Cottonport Church of God. She was an inspector with American Lava and General Electric in Chattanooga for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edison Powers and Elizabeth Duckworth Powers. Ms. Powers is survived by her sister, Mary Ruth Lawson of Cleveland; brother, Bob Eugene Powers and wife, Shirley of Benton; nieces, Sally Cloar and husband, Tommy Sr. of Cleveland and Ann Hudson and husband, Rick of Athens; great nephews, Tommy Cloar, Jr. and Adam Hudson; special friends, Peggy Burnette and Jeanette Cagle of Cleveland. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Decatur Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2007 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
