Lillian Maupin

February 15, 1922 — September 20, 2007

Lillian Maupin, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church for the last forty years. Mrs. Maupin was retired from BellSouth and was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers of America. She was the daughter of the late Flora Carroll Palmer and Gene Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Goins II; sister, Gladys Byrd and two daughters, Janice Maupin Henry and infant daughter, Holly Lee Maupin. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kermit Maupin; son, William D. Goins III and wife, Diane of Soddy Daisy; two grandsons, Will Goins and Clay Goins; one granddaughter, Courtney Mathews; one great grandson, Quinn Goins; one sister, Deanie Hannah; a special son-in-law, Jeff Mathews and wife, Carol and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Friday at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with her son, William D. Goins III officiating. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
