Flora May Arp Peak

December 29, 1918 — September 23, 2007

Flora May Arp Peak, 88, a life long resident of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Reliance. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Harmony Chapter # 143. Mrs. Peak was the daughter of the late Thomas David Arp and Ceney Jane Elrod Arp and was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kermit Roosevelt Peak; three children: Ruthie Mae Peak, Robert M. Peak and Mary E. Lewallen; one sister, Dorothy Wilcox; two brothers, Wade Arp and Hayden Arp. She is survived by her children and spouses: Emma and Terry Parker, Bill and Margie Peak, Kermit and Linda Peak, Wilma Jean and Maurice Hall all of Cleveland; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Shelton of Cleveland; two brothers: Lloyd Arp and James F. Arp and wife, Hazel Arp all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Waymond Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Chris Peak, Mikel Peak, Junior Peak, George Parker, John Parker, Keith Jones and Tracy Lewallen. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Wheeler, Larry Wheeler, Terry Wheeler and Jeff Peak. Her family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
