Kenneth Raymond Satterfield

Kenneth Raymond Satterfield, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at the family residence. He was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He was a river boat captain for 44 years. Mr. Satterfield was the son of the late A.W. Satterfield and Gertie Collins Satterfield and was also preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Satterfield and three sisters: Clara Mae Garland, Louise Beasley and Mable Meredith. He is survived by his wife, Nellie H. Satterfield of Cleveland; three children and spouses: Terry and Esther Satterfield of Reliance Kenny Satterfield of Reliance and Debbie and Donald Cartwright of Cleveland; grandchildren and spouses: Kim and Larry Powell of Reliance, Kelly and Shawn Bayne of Reliance, Misty Satterfield, Dusty Satterfield, Chris and Carmen Cartwright all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Kirk, Colton and Emma Powell and Cody Bayne all of Reliance and Dawson Satterfield of Cleveland; one brother and spouse Doug and Elizabeth Satterfield of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Wilford Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Cliff Meredith, Jim Nutt, Dale Satterfield, James Hicks, Ralph Hicks and Dale Jordan will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
