Mattaleen W Barnes

Mattaleen W. Barnes departed this life and went home to be with her heavenly father. She was a life long member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Chattanooga. She is survived by her daughter, Jeane A. Oliver of Cleveland; grandchildren: Dan Oliver of Cleveland, Alice Wallace and husband, Doug of Athens, Wendy Oliver Crews and husband, Eric of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren: Shelby Alice Marshall and John Patrick Marshall both of Athens; step-son, David Barnes of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters: Eva Rievley, Juanita Weaver and husband, Laury K. Jr. of Chattanooga; brother, William G. Wilson and wife Helen of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews and many friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ken Clark of Oakwood Baptist Church officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Dan Oliver, John Goins, Bill Sanders, Doug Wallace, Bill Mintz, and Andrew Mintz will serve as pallbearers.
