Margaret Humberd

Margaret Laverne Hill Humberd, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 07, 2007 in a local healthcare facility. She was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Mrs. Humberd was active in the Girl Scout Program for many years. She was a former employee of Shoney?s Restaurant and Red Food Store She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Hill and Bertha Hill Gee and her husband, E. J. Humberd. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Edward Cleo and Lorraine Hill of FairHope, AL; sister-in-law and husband, Leola and Robert Evans; brothers-in-law and wives, Paul and Betty Humberd, Johnnie and Barbara Humberd; special friends:Bobbie Wilson, Jess and Wanda Green and Melburn Horne and Bob Horne; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Paul and the Reverend Kenneth Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Terry Evans, Steve Humberd, Alan Humberd, Danny Nerren, Freddie Grubb and Walt Bullington serving as pallbearers. Jess Green, Roy Hysinger, Odell Swafford and Gib Nelson will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
