Ruth Kimmons

Larry C.L. Ingram, 60, a lifelong resident of Bradley county, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving and supportive family. He served honorably in the US Air Force, detached with the 101st airborne during the Vietnam conflict. He was a well loved oncology nurse working with Dr. Slyvia Krueger. He had a special love for his job, but particularly all the patients he touched. His gentle spirit, humor and encouragement helped so many to have hope. His love of the Lord kept his spirits high to the very end. He was a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Registered Nurse. He worked thirty years for Bradley Memorial Hospital, from being a Respiratory Therapist, Asistant Director of the Respiratory department to Home Health and Hospice Director. He was also Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer. He was responsible for many new programs implemented at Bradley, including the start of the Home Health and Hospice department. During his later years he also became an adjunct professor for Covenant College after earning his Masters Degree from Tusculum College. He enjoyed the Relay for Life, a very committed cause for he and his co-workers. He enjoyed local sports particularly soccer and tennis at Cleveland High School. He enjoyed his special hunting trips with his good friend, Dr. Owen Taylor and enjoyed traveling with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. L. and Ada Ingram, sister, Geraldine Cook, brothers Calvin and Jerry, Willie Callahan, brother-in-law, and a nephew Ricky Callahan. Suvivors include his wife of 24 years, Michelle Baker Ingram; daughters Lora Harnack and her husband Kirk; Courtney Ingram and Caitlin Ingram of Cleveland; son Michael Ingram and his wife Carol of Athens, TN; sisters; Carolyn Marr (Gary), Shirley Callahan, Brother Gary Ingram (Susan) all of Cleveland; six grandchildren; Alex, Peyton, Baylor, and Cason Ingram of Athens, TN; Madalyn McCauley of Nashville, TN. Trey Sartin of Chattanooga, TN. Maxine Baker, Mother-in-law of Cleveland, and Melanie Robinson, sister-in-law of Rocky Mount, N.C.; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Friday October 26th from 5 ? 7 PM at Broad Street United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church following the visitation with Pastor Andy Ferguson and Pastor Debbie Stokes officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request Memorials to be made to the Brenda Davis Foundation, 353 Worth Street, N.W., Cleveland, TN 37311 or Broad Street United Methodist Church?s Mission Fund.
