Geneva Rose Massey

Geneva Rose Massey, 66, went home to be with her Lord peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of Thursday, December 6th. She joins in heavenly celebration with her parents, Gay and Rosa Payne; brothers: J.C. Payne, Dean Payne and Paul Payne and her sisters: Barbara Payne and Opal Payne. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dewey Massey; her children: Sheila Bennett and husband, Perry, Gayla Carden and husband, Gary, Russell Massey and wife, Pam and Stan Massey and girlfriend, Janice Lewis; grandchildren; the precious jewels in her life, Brittany Higgins, Gabrielle Bennett and Abigail Bennett; brothers and spouses who she loved dearly including Teddy (Mae) Payne, Marion (Leota) Payne, Beecher Payne and Dale Payne; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she dearly loved; her dear friend, Imo Derrick and a host of special friends to numerous to mention. Her laughter will be greatly missed. We will miss the beautiful flowers that would grow at the touch of her loving hands but we rejoice that she is in heaven among the most beautiful flowers ever and her body is healed. Please join us as we celebrate her life as she dances with Angels on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram officiating the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9 in Coker Creek Church Cemetery in Tellico Plains. Her family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
