William Edd Redd

William Edd Redd, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at his residence. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Redd, stepmother, Susie Redd, stepfather, Robert Redd, mother-in-law, Lola Buckner, father-in-law, Clyde Buckner and brothers-in-law, Jack Buckner and Charlie Buckner. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Redd of Cleveland; sons and spouses: Billy and Kari Redd and John and Heather Redd all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Cody Redd, Clari Redd and Adam Redd all of Cleveland; mother, Pauline Redd; brothers: James Redd of Lafayette, Georgia and Keith McKinney and wife, Shirley of Pikeville, TN; sisters: Lucille Hollenhead and her ex-husband, Bill Hollenhead both of Cleveland, Judy Stewart and husband, Avery of Cleveland, and Trudy Stewart and her ex-husband, Leroy Stewart, Nora Lollis and husband, Harrison of Norcross, GA and Peggy Dyer of Pikeville; three brothers: Pete McKinley of Pikeville, Robb Waters and wife Debra of Ooltewah and Lib McKinley and wife Terry of Loganville, GA; brothers-in-law: Marvin Slaughter, David Buckner, Wayne Cate, Carl Cate, Eddie Buckner and Doug McClure; sisters-in-law: Ethel Slaughter, Reba Cate, Kathy Cate, Charlotte McClure, May Buckner, Alice Buckner, Lynn Buckner and Margaret Harris; special CNA, Kathy Rhea of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Hughes and Reverend Paul Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Billy Redd, John Redd, Robbie Wolf, Wayne Cate, Carl Cate, Marvin Slaughter, Carl Buckner and Shane Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Adam Redd, Cody Redd and Eddy Womack. His family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the funeral home.
