Warren Dale

December 18, 1920 — January 12, 2008

Warren "Red" Dale, 87, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at his home. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II in the Pacific. He retired from Hardwick Stove Company following 36 years of service. He attended Ladd Springs Church of God. His hobbies included fishing and beef cattle farming. His parents, George and Mandy Hollifield Dale, preceded him in death as well as two children: Marie Smith and Donald Dale. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Katherine Dale of Old Fort; two sons: Jerry Dale and wife Erma of Cleveland, and David Dale and his wife Pam of Old Fort; eight grandchildren: Randy Dale, Casey Dale, Sharon Scoggins, Ricky Walker, Cindy Montgomery, Donnie Walker, Melony Dispain and Joseph Dale; thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Dale of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram, Pastor Tim Posey, and Pastor Charles Hollifield officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery conducted by Pastor William Roebuck and concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Pallbearers include Randy Dale, Joseph Dale, Jason Dispain, Donny Walker, Ricky Walker and Ray Scoggins. His family will receive friends from 5 ? 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
