Georgia Charlene Richardson

Georgia Charlene Richardson, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of the West Cleveland Baptist Church and was also a member of the Sonshiners Senior Group. She was retired from Peytons. Mrs. Richardson was the daughter of the late Jim Strickland and Roxie Hall Strickland and was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Wilbur Richardson who passed away in 1992 and a son, Timothy D. Richardson and a brother, J.R. Strickland. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Jane Richardson, Gary and Tina M. Richardson and Brenda Richardson all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Jason Richardson of Atlanta, GA, Aaron Richardson of Nashville, TN, Adam Richardson of Atlanta, GA, Jeremy Richardson of Nashville, TN, Bruce Richardson of Cleveland, TN, Medea Richardson of Wausau, Wisconsin and Kylie Richardson of Cleveland, TN; four great-grandchildren: Patrick Richardson and Katie Jane Richardson both of Atlanta, GA, Sydney Richardson of Nashville, TN and Anita Rose Richardson of Cleveland; siblings: Ethel Michaels o Spring City, TN, Beatrice Green, Sue Roe and Jeanette Davis all of Cleveland, TN, Taylor Strickland of Windor, GA, Opal Casteel of Athens, TN, Nina Cartwright of Cleveland, TN, Frances White of Benton, TN and Anne Staton of Riceville, TN; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Harry and Deanie Richardson and special sister-in-law, Ann Dolan all of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Arris Cavender and Reverend Beecher White officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with grandsons and Daniel White serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
