Wanda A Welborn

November 13, 1939 — January 26, 2008

Wanda A. Welborn, 68, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of the Old Pathway Baptist Church. Mrs. Welborn was the daughter of the late A.C. Cooper, Sr. and Leona Davis Cooper. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Wesley Welborn of Cleveland; one son, Johnny Newberry of Cleveland; two step-daughters: Brenda Doyle and husband Steven Doyle of Larned, Kansas and Cyndi Welborn of Ft. Worth, TX; one grandchild, Nigel Newberry and wife Emily Newberry; four step-grandchildren: Kimberly Welborn, Cliff Allen, Ashley Doyle and Corey Welborn; one great-grandchild, Lyric Newberry; one step grandchild, Destiny Doyle; three brothers and spouses: Reverend Harold Cooper and Ruth Cooper, Reverend A.C. Cooper, Jr. and Phyllis Cooper and Reverend Wayne Cooper and Ellen Cooper all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Old Pathway Baptist Church with her brothers, Reverend Harold Cooper, Reverend A.C. Cooper, Jr. and Reverend Waymond Cooper officiating, Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Bob Pritchard, Jeremiah Pritchard, David Waters, Curt Clayton, Jonathan Cooper and Ray Cooper. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
