Alvin L. Cagle, 84, a resident of Ohio and a former resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008. He was a machinist and was retired from Cleveland Trencher. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was a member of the Masons. Mr. Cagle was the son of the late Hobart and Susa Jane Cagle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Eugene Cagle, Milburn Cagle and Kenneth Cagle. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Katherine Cagle of Ohio; three children: Jane Ingram of Lake Isabella, Michigan, Barbara May of Mentor, Ohio and L. Michael Cagle of Wickless, Ohio; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister Martha McGee and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, Tennessee. His family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at the funeral home.
