Henry L Banks

July 17, 1945 — February 9, 2008

Henry Leon Banks, 62, a resident of Cleveland lost his fight with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 09, 2008 at Sky Ridge Medical Center. He was a devoted and cherished member at Southview Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and being outdoors. He was always known to put a smile on someone?s face. He was a retired diesel mechanic. He was the grandson of the late Wesley and Leona Beck. He is survived by his parents: Emmett and Inez Banks of Cleveland; wife of 24 years, Judy Diane Banks of Cleveland; children and spouses: Leon and Robin Banks of Old Fort, Tina and Billy Thomas of Cleveland, Brian Banks of Delano, Tammy Stephenson of Cleveland, Gene and Meleah Ramsey of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters and spouse: Louise and Dennis Maddux of Old Fort and Irene and Bud Jones of Cleveland; brothers and spouses: Glen and Holly Banks of Harrison, TN and Robert and Dorothy Banks of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Bowers and Pastor Rob Works officiating. Interment will follow in Delano Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be, Dale Huckeba, Jeff Higenbottom, Shane Maddux, Joe Adkins, Wayne Jones, Greg Banks, Wayne Higenbottom and Jamie Beck.
