Gladys Nichols

Gladys Nichols, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church in McMinn County. She was retired from American Uniform. Mrs. Nichols was the daughter of the late John Henry Golden and Martha Jane Weeks Golden and was also preceded in death by her son, Paul Henry Gee and her first husband, Walter Gee and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, John Kenneth Nichols of Cleveland; five children and spouses: Etta Marie Dockery of Cleveland, Sue Pierce and Don Pierce of Elkhart, Indiana, Sammie Scoggins and Wayne Scoggins of Cleveland, Horace Edward Gee of Cleveland, Walter Gee, Jr. and Linda Gee of Edwardsburg, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Kenneth McCormack of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Evangelist Tip Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the funeral home.
