Dennis Melton

Dennis E. Melton, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 in a local hospital. He was a member of the New Covenant Church of God. Mr. Melton was the son of the late Arras Cambra Melton and Lula Christine Hancock Melton. He is survived by his wife Nannie Sue Elliott Melton of Cleveland; three children: Cindy Denise Griffin of Lavergne, TN, Dennis Edward Melton, II of Cleveland, TN and Kimberly Renee Wright of Smyrna, TN; ten grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Burchfield and Reba Smith both of Cleveland; one brother, Danny Melton of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Bryan Smith, Kenneth Griffin, Robbie Wright, Caleb Melton, Joshua Melton, Bryan Roderick, Michael Griffin and Zachery Wright serving as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
