David Ledford, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the family residence. He was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. Mr. Ledford was a member of the East Ridge Masonic Lodge (formerly Whorley Lodge) in Chattanooga. He founded and operated Ledford Tile Company for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Kile Ledford and parents, Lake and Myrtle Ball Ledford. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie King and Shari Whitmire; son, Mike Ledford and wife, Ann all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Star King, Elijah King, Stephanie Stedman all of Cleveland; great grandchildren: Logan King; Thad Stedman and Allie Stedman all of Cleveland; sister, Dorothy Williams of Cleveland; nieces: Lakeanna Bailey, Melinda McIntire and Kimmy McGaha and nephew, James Derring Williams all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor George Bullson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Lee Bailey Bob McIntire, Robby McIntire, Jerry McGaha, Cole McGaha and James Derring Williams serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
