Cordie Louise Dunnington

Cordie Louise Dunnington, 89, a resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at local healthcare facility. She was a member of the Bancroft Church of God. She retired from Atlas Paper Company after 47 years of service. Mrs. Dunnington was the daughter of the late John Pope and Phoebe Bancroft Pope and was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence Dunnington; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one sister, Ora Kathy Lachey of West Milton, Ohio; two brothers: Herbert Pope of Sweetwater and Alfred Pope of Georgia; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Price Chapel Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Roger Holcomb, Jim Nance, Steve Bettis, William Lane, Carl Buckner and Robbie Ledford will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the funeral home.
