Ida Belle Casteel, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of Phillipi Baptist Church for over 65 years. She was dedicated to her family and church. Mrs. Casteel was the daughter of the late Henry and Gracie Mae Hunt Stuman and was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Avery Stuman and Junior Stuman; great grandson, Kaiden Farkas. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stewart E. Casteel, Sr. of Cleveland; five children and spouses: Stewart "Eddie" and Julie Casteel of Georgetown, Wayman and Jana Casteel, Rhonda Gail and Chuck Tatum, Etta and Ron Davis and Janie Casteel all of Cleveland; thirteen grandchildren: Garylee Casteel, Michelle Moyer, Melissa Prince, Ricky Visconti, Amy Farkas, Adam Casteel, Amber Tatum, Amanda Tatum, Justin Tatum, Matthew McTaggart, Michael McTaggart, Ben Davis and Lucas Davis; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother and spouse: Jim and Irene Stuman of Cleveland; two sisters: Katherine Anderson and husband, Fred Anderson and Betty Dean Goforth all of Cleveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Alliene Belk, Dot Craigo, Geneva Moore, Mary Fowler, Kenneth and Dorothy Casteel, Eddy and Carolyn Steelmon; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Phillipi Baptist Church with Pastor Sammy Hooker officiating. Interment will follow at 1p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
