Robert P Hagood

Robert P. Hagood, 69, a resident of Cleveland, left this world, Saturday, March 29, 2008. Angels carried a precious child home to his heavenly Father?s waiting arms. He is ALIVE forevermore and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was a faithful member and a wonderful adult Sunday School Teacher at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Hagood had a great love for the Holy Land, having made 3 pilgrimages, one in 1998, one in 1999 and another in 2007. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served from September 1956 to September 1976. He was employed with Westvaco from October 1976 to October 2001 and now employed by Mullinax Lincoln Mercury. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Hagood; and wife, Leona Hagood and son, Donald (Donnie) Cross. He is survived by his wife, Connie Hagood and his son, Cody Reagan of Cleveland; his daughter, Rhoda Radziej of Cleveland; mother, Mary K. Hagood of Chattanooga; sister, Miriam Gossett and husband, Richard of Chattanooga and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Samples Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Ingram, the Reverend Earl Gentry and the Reverend Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 P.M. Monday in Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Doug Ingram, Nathan Headrick, Chad Cameron, Jamie Gladson, Randy Davis and Mike Rymer will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the church.
