James E Davis

James E. Davis, Sr., 62, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at the family residence. He was retired from Cleveland Utilities. Mr. Davis was the son of the late Glenn Davis and Rosie Davis and was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Davis, brother, Charles Davis and his sister, Betty Marr. Survivors include his brother, Johnny Davis; daughter, Mary Jo Brewer; sons and spouses: David and Pam Marr of McCaysville, Georgia, Ray and Sherri Marr of Atlanta, Georgia, James "Patch" Davis, Jr., Steve and Dana Davis of Cleveland; grandchildren: Cassie and Steven Presley, Brandon, Shelby, Jessica, Courtney, Caitlin Marr, Andrew, Chris, David and Hunter Davis, Nini Martin, Hannah Ellis, Chris Allen, Jake Staten; great-grandchild, Jaxon Presley; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Darrell Grady officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Andrew Davis, Chris Davis, Chris Allen, Jake Staton, Steven Presley and Brandon Marr. His family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 and also from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the funeral home prior to the service.
